Our Pastor is Rev. George Drupp. He came to Frackville in 2003 with his wife Mary Jane. They have been happily married for forty-three years and are the parents of four sons and have eight grandchildren.
Pastor Drupp had previously served churches in Lebanon, Birdsboro and Reading. He brings to Frackville many years of training and experience in pastoral ministry and also the business world.
Pastor Drupp was educated at DeVry Technical Institute, Penn State University and The Evangelical School of Theology. He began his career working with the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) in the field of electronics. This led to opening his own retail electronics stores. When his sons were old enough to operate the family business he went from part time ministry to full time ministry.
Pastor Drupp started a Food Pantry which served over 400 families per month. He designed and started a daily after school program for underprivileged children called "Kids Café". This program helped children with their school work and then fed them a home cooked meal before they went home. The "Kids Café" program is still operating at 30 different sites in Berks County.
Pastor Drupp is also concerned with seniors and has started many institutional Bible studies in Senior Housing Centers. He has served as an officer on the Board of Trustees at E.C.C. Retirement Village and Stone Ridge Campus for over twenty years.
Pastor Drupp isn’t the only one that cares about people. Mary Jane has a ministry to children called "Billy & Company". It is a puppet ministry which was intended for children but we have learned it is appreciated just as much by adults. She also does arts and crafts and has been known to appear as "Hug-Me" the clown.
Together Pastor Drupp and Mary Jane are a couple that are hard to beat when it comes to loving and caring for people. If you haven’t met them yet you need to stop by and find out what everyone is talking about. They truly are a couple sent by the Lord.
